Is this a Nolan flick? What a cast, that’s an incredible lineup of talent.

Cast list. Cillian Murphy Robert Downey Jr. Florence Pugh Matt Damon Emily Blunt Josh HartnettJack Quaid Rami Malek Benny Safdie Dane Dehaan Mathew Modine The casting of Josh Hartnett is funny to me because I remember he mentioned in an interview a number of years ago how much he regretted turning down the role of Batman (for Nolan's Batman Begins) big dummy www.theguardian.com/film/2015/apr/17/josh-hartnett-i-regret-turning-down-batman-role-christopher-nolanJosh Hartnett should bow down to King Nolan and kiss the ring then get 100 lashes while having to chant "IN NOLAN I TRUST! IN NOLAN I TRUST!" to be even remotely worthy of having a role in a film that is directed by Christopher Nolan. Hopefully for Harnett's sake, he makes the most of this big opportunity that Nolan is giving him. Don't fuck it up Hartnett because Nolan doesn't fuck around and always remembers anyone that he views as incompetent or subpar to work with (just ask Warner Bros )

Always impressive how Nolan gets these big casts for his films. Well, Dane DeHaan could use some better roles. You should watch Zero Zero Zero on prime. It’s styled very similarly to Villeneuve’s Sicario (ZZZ director is the same guy who did Sicario sequel). Anyway, DeHaan is great in it, changed my opinion on the kid, the show is only a handful of episodes and it’s without a doubt some of the best media of the past few years. m.youtube.com/watch?v=2aMhpKM-30o

It’s an impressive list, but a few of those guys I’m not terribly fond of. I’m confident Nolan will get the best performances possible from all of them, though.

I see a disturbing lack of Michael Caine from that list.

I thought Caine was retiring from acting last year. But I guess not.:

I've liked Hartnett ever since The Faculty so good for him. Though I wonder if he has a juicy role in this or if it's gonna be like Topher Grace in Interstellar where he's practically a dayplayer just to work with Nolan.

Are we sure this is going to be a straight historical and not a science fiction/fantasy thriller as he usually makes or a wall-to-wall actioner like "Dunkirk" but using this bit of real history as a jumping off point?
BTW, I live about 90 minutes from Los Alamos. My Lovely Wife and I visited again just last summer. While there we visited the cluster of home (which are still standing) where Oppenheimer and other top scientists lived. When the site was picked for the secret project, the only thing on the mountaintop mesa was a boarding school for boys which got moved out. Today, the town is a beautiful yuppie paradise with the highest property values in the state. If you are ever in the southwest, think about taking a detour to see it. It is full of history.

We aren't sure of anything yet, but I am assuming he has decided to make a historical drama this time. It will probably have a thriller type vibe to it though and I am sure it will have some kind of Nolanism with the narrative.

Alden Ehrenreich has also been cast. This movie’s cast almost puts Knives Out and Dune to shame.

Alden Ehrenreich has also been cast. Good for him. He could use another shot.

Michael Angarano - noted for giving the better 9 year old Anakin audition but losing to Jake Lloyd for some reason.
