I don't care for the TV show, but I mostly like the first movie. My issue with Beavis & Butt-head is they get old very quickly, so while it doesn't work as a TV show it does work in movie form. Part of the reason I don't care for the TV show is because I dislike the parts of each episode where they are just sitting on the couch watching music videos and commenting on them. The original was a satire about the MTV generation. I like the new one more because it has to do with science fiction ideas, such as time travel, multiverses and space and is satirizing current media and some cultural stuff. The funniest scene in the movie is when Beavis & Butt-Head accidentally stroll into a gender studies class on a college campus. Like the first movie this one also has to do with a series of misunderstandings. In this case NASA in 1998 think that Beavis & Butt-head are space docking geniuses and train them to go to a mission in space in which they accidentally get sucked into a black hole and end up in 2022, which says more about the incompetence of the government than it does about Beavis & Butt-Head. Jenny Ortega gives a fantastic performance in The Fallout. I don't care for her in Scream, but I like her in X and obviously the Fallout. I am now looking forward to Tim Burton's Wednesday Addams mini-series, which Ortega stars as the title character. Yeah, I suppose I never sought it out like I did the South Park show because I figured the joke would get old. And them narrating videos was probably more cutting edge in the pre-youtube era. That plot also reminds me a bit of Idiocrasy. I thought she was pretty good in Scream. Easily the best performance besides maybe Arquette. I didn't really care for her in Babysitter 2 or You, but now I'm thinking it was the writing. I hated her in X, which I think means she did her job perfectly. It's so against her usual roles. I agree with that. Beavis & Butt-Head meet Idiocrasy is a decent description of the new movie.

The Fallout sounds interesting and I like Jenna Ortega. I didn't even know they were doing a new Beavis and Butthead movie. I never watched the show but I liked the first one. I don't have Paramount + though.Jenny Ortega gives a fantastic performance in The Fallout. I don't care for her in Scream, but I like her in X and obviously the Fallout. It seems like teen movies and shows today feel a constant need to remind the audience it's 2022. Memes, emojis, saying "LOL" out loud. When you throw on John Hughes or something, those movies are obviously very 80s, but it doesn't feel like they're pausing the movie to talk about fax machines and shit. Or maybe I'm just getting old and out of touch. But yeah, Ortega was really good.

I guess I just figured that is what young people talk like and do now. The most realistic teen dialogue I can think of is from the movie Kids, and it's for the best teen characters don't usually talk like that. In any case, even if teens that say "LOL" out loud exist, they don't need to be the lead of your serious dramatic movie.

I guess it just comes down then to that it didn't annoy me and it did annoy you. I think that is often the case with people's differences with movies, even when it comes to stuff like plot holes and stuff like that. It all depends on the movie though. There are many movies where plot holes don't bother me and many when they do. In a different movie the teen talk might have bothered me, but here it didn't.

What a waste of a good cast. Simon Kinberg needs to stick to producing movies and not directing them. His directing is embarrassing. We got a glimpse of his lack of talent with X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and the 355 is even worse. 20 minutes into the movie and I don't care at all about the "story" or any of the characters.

Also, what is so bad about South Park: The Streaming Wars? I haven't watched it yet. For one thing, it doesn't even feel like a movie but a glorified episode of the show (even rating them together instead of as separate parts feels like a reach). For another, we're a long way from SP'd heyday and Steaming Wars in particular didn't give me a single laugh.

The Gray Man - 6/10
Somehow I always forget how hilarious Gosling is without compromising the tone of the movie. He’s so subtly funny that he can lace humor into any serious scene and make it both amusing and in line with the rest of the atmosphere around him.
Even with a half-baked and predictable story, I enjoyed the pace and entertainment value of this movie until the ending just became too stupid to overlook.
Still relatively solid, but I’m in no rush to revisit this one.

I saw a bunch of people on Twitter complaining about his performance and I don’t get it. He plays a very convincing psychopathic douche.
