Interesting
This guy (who just knocked off #1 Draw and was in the Wimbledon Final) is still alive and playing in the Quarters tomorrow
Doesn't seem to be anyone too intimidating in his way -

The feud between those two has been rather ungratifying. It's a schoolyard argument over a question that was stupid to start with.

I thought it was going to be about the quality of the opposition, in which case I would have strongly disagreed. But about the other things in general, like travelling, she is not wrong. Serena Williams has been a multimillionaire since she was a teenager. Was Margaret Court EVER a multimillionaire? That alone means that she is right in saying that Serena played in an easier era. It has no bearing on who's the better player, of course (Serena is).

I was truly fortunate to nab last-minute tickets to Nadal-Tiafoe yesterday on Stubhub. Went straight from the beach over to Flushing and soaked in what was easily among the top sporting events I've ever seen. I've been to a bunch of open matches, but I've never seen Nadal (or any of the "greats" before) and certainly not a match of yesterday's caliber.
Holy shit, just incredible. I'm still kinda amped up from the excitement of it and Tiafoe was so awesome that I'm pulling for him the rest of the way.

Was on my 4th 18-ounce beer with a buddy at the bar when Tiafoe pulled it out. We cheered. He kind of looks like PK Subban.

I wasn't even planning on going to the open this year, but randomly popped onto Stubhub and found great seats for not an obnoxious amount of $. Just lucky in the moment I guess.

My dad's cousin had a house there so I went when I was a kid. He had a very large aquarium. I played with the dials and boiled the fish.

Kyrgios is a wankstain. Hope Rublev Khachanov beats him. A "devastated" Nick Kyrgios is out of the US Open after eventually being out-battled by Russia's Karen Khachanov in a tense quarter-final in New York. The 27-year-old Australian, who needed treatment on his left thigh after the first set, lost 7-5 4-6 7-5 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 to 27th seed Khachanov. "I feel like I've let so many people down," said Kyrgios. You didn’t let me down, Nick!

Good match with breaks galore - Swiatek beats U.S. somebody who the crowd was crazy over and Chris Evert was pulling for. She will stay #1 regardless of what happens in the rest of the tournament.

It sounds like the Alcaraz-Sinner quarterfinal match was one for the ages. The 19-year old Spaniard won in five sets and has now reached his first Major semi-final.
Semi-finals lineup:
Men:
Kachanov Ruud
Alcaraz Tiafoe
Women:
Swiatek Sabalenka
Garcia Jabeur

Only saw the highlights, but yeah that looked like a hell of a match. The guy Tiafoe beat had a meltdown and was pouting on the court, it was pretty embarrassing. Nice to see an American doing well, I'd love to see him win it all. Alcaraz is a hell of a young player, though.

Among the men, Casper Ruud is the only one who's reached semifinals or better in a Grand Slam tournament.
Among the women, Caroline Garcia is the only one who HASN'T reached a semifinal before.
