10th (of 12) placed Aston Villa Women almost hung on for a precious point on Sunday against 2nd placed Chelsea Women, conceding to a Samantha Kerr strike in added time. Chelsea keeper Musovic launched a soaring goal-kick which fell to Kerr who slotted home for a 1-0 Chelsea victory. Villa Women had defended well throughout the game and coach Ward said afterwards the Villa dressing room was so quiet you could have heard the proverbial pin drop.
