The road well travelled: 100 years of Jack Kerouac

I read On the Road a couple of months ago, I had never read it before but I'd always wanted to because of its reputation. I thought it was okay. I loved the section with Remi, I thought he was hilarious, and I was fascinated by Old Bull Lee. The rest of the novel honestly bored me, and I was annoyed by its repetitious nature. I haven't read any other Kerouac but I'd be open to reading his other works, or even giving On the Road another try at some point in the future.
