Love the show, especially the earlier seasons, but hands down best moment is Feeny's speech in "Quiz Show".

Feeny's speech in the Finale trumps his Quiz Bowl speech.
I Love you all. Class Dismissed.

I actually like Eric more the dumber he got. Will Friedle had great comedic timing. I loved that he became the new Batman.

Feeny's speech in the series finale gets me every time, especially the older I've gotten and I've happened to catch that episode on TV or popped in the DVD; in an ideal world, I would have loved to have had him as a teacher and a neighbor, but alas, TV......
I much prefer Eric in the early seasons, before they made him dumb, simply because it's the, "What could have been" with how the character would have progressed. The actor does have great comedic timing so it is hard to visualize a smarter, less spasdic, Eric.

I believe that was actually a complaint that the fans of the show had at the time; his character was too dumbed-down to make Eric even somewhat remotely believable. If you had seen Girl Meets World (2014), they continued to make him that way, but that's a discussion for another topic.

I know. But like I said, I prefer dumb Eric over just-another-teenager Eric.

I have the whole series too. Its a great show. I was not a fan of a Girl Meets World. I quit watching it after a few episodes.

The problem with shows about today's teens is that they can't have the adventures their parents had in the 90s because today's teens are so coddled.

To be fair, every generation says that about the younger generations.

To be fair, every generation says that about the younger generations. In this case it's true.

Like I said: every generation thinks that. My grandfather let my mother drive when she was 12. By herself. My dad never wore a seat belt.
We're coddled compared to that.

But this whole thing of keeping kids in car seats up to age nine and not letting kids go anywhere unsupervised until they're in middle school is new.

I gotta disagree with that. When I was 12, a family friend got a ticket because her daughter wasn't in a car seat, despite the fact that she was about 5 or 6. Also, I couldn't go anywhere until I was in middle school either. A lot of it isn't really new. It's just much more noticeable due to social media making things go viral.
But to be fair, even if this generation is more coddled (every subsequent generation is because we learn more about safety, health, etc), how is it their fault?
Isn't it the fault of the previous generation for having raised them that way? Why do we act like it's the teen's fault? If a two year old has their face in an ipad and grows up to be a teen with their face in an Iphone, that's not their fault.

It's definitely the fault of the parents for not having faith in their kids. Blessed are they who expect nothing, for they shall not be disappointed.

When I was a kid at 11-12, I was not allowed to go to places by myself without adult supervision, due the fact, it is a sick world out there. Then and now. Mom was not paranoid, just protective and cautious.
