I do believe in residual hauntings, where an event gets "recorded" into an environment and is played back... Modern technologies seem to prove that it should be possible for that to occur... But we just haven't figured out how to do that yet.
As for intelligent hauntings? Spirits of the dead... I think there have been some events which go beyond just coincidences, misinterpretations, and hallucinations... And so it can't be completely ruled out...
But I do have some questions... Such as:
Some people claim there are Dogs & Cats ghosts... If Chimpanzees are the closest species to Humans, why are there no Chimpanzee ghosts? Dinosaurs?
How about Romans or Vikings?
Seems rather random.

Well, the Airline can claim it's garbage all they want, but saying "It's Garbage", does nothing to actually debunk the numerous claims that were made... It just sounds like the Airline didn't want to deal with any of it, or face the loss of ticket sales from frightened passengers, and so they threatened their employees into silence.
The claims themselves don't sound like they were made up or hoaxes to me.
"Let's fake a head count and keep the plane on the ground longer than normal, and piss of the waiting passengers... to add an account to the urban legend!" ?
Now, that sounds completely absurd.
