I'm digging how the upcoming Frozen Empire is looking. I get a feeling it'll be the best since GB2.

Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters 2016
and then Ghostbusters 2.
Because GB 2 sucks so much more than the 2016!

If I were to rank the video game and both animated series, the video game probably comes in third place after the first two movies, then RGB and EGB before Afterlife. The video game to me is still the true third movie albeit in game form, and the two animated series too often get overlooked.

The 2016 film had so much potential to be something good but really fumbled. There's some good and creative concepts in there and you can tell with better writing it could've been something good.

One thing almost everyone agrees on is 2016 being stone dead last. A common argument I've seen is the suggestion that people hate it because of the female cast. One thing interesting about that is it's not just sexist men disliking 2016. Women hate it, too. It's not because the lead characters are women.
My wife and I didn't hate 2016 as much as most other people did. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. The female cast offered a new take on the premise and female comedians can bring a different comedic flavor. I've religiously watched SNL since the 80s and appreciate the cast members.
It just wasn't amazing, and the original film was special. People still love the original and the 2016 film was like Pepsi to the original's Coke.

Saw Frozen Empire last month when it came out. Pretty good and would definitely rank in third place behind the first two. Kind of a shame it's underperformed at the box office, but if it's to be the last ever Ghostbusters film it isn't the worst film to end a series on.
