The Sword in the Stone even though Patrick Stewart is in Excalibur.

Excalibur, though flawed it's still a masterpiece IMHO

I do like Sword in the Stone but Excalibur is one of the very best Arthurian films, only Lancelot du Lac and Monty Python challenging it.

I prefer The Sword in the Stone.
I am not much of a fan of the King Arthur story, but The Sword in the Stone is a fun animated comedy.

I prefer Excalibur. I like The Sword in the Stone, but the film is episodic and none of Merlin's lessons meant anything when it was Arthur's destiny to pull Excalibur from the anvil. The wizards' duel is still an incredible sequence of animation.

Surprised that Disney has not yet remade The Sword in the Stone.

Excalibur gets my vote. - The Sword in the Stone is a delightful movie, but it’s for kids. If I was still a kid, I’d vote for it. But as an adult, I’d rather watch Excalibur.

This reminds me that I need to watch Excalibur. I'm a fan of The Sword in the Stone, but obviously I'll abstain from voting.

At first I misread the thread title as The Sword And The Socerer vs Excalibur, and I was going to say The Sword And The Socerer is low budget goofiness and Excalibur is a first class work of art.
But I haven't seen the Sword In The Stone.

In my mind, nothing in Excalibur can withstand the power of “Whoa, What? Whoooa!”.

I need to see the Sword in the Stone I haven't seen it in ages and only remember the sorcerer duel. If I voted just on that then it would win over Excalibur
The best knights in armor movie I have seen is the Warriors 1955 The knights were so cool in that.
There was a 1973 film Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and the armor in that one was similar to Excalibur Not realistic but stylized.

Sword in the Stone. Excalibur is okay but even Arthur’s knighting is goofy. “I never saw this!”

I finally watched Excalibur and overall I thought it was pretty good, but I prefer The Sword in the Stone.

I'd have to see Excalibur. For a long time though, The Sword in the Stone was my favourite Disney animated movie second only to Fantasia. It'll be kinda hard to top, unlike Gary Bertier's mama.
