Didn't like Murder, didn't see Death. I don't care for Murder, but Death is a lot worse though.

I don't care for Murder, but Death is a lot worse though. Is the '78 version worth watching or nah? Yes. I like Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun. Both are them are fun murder mysteries that don't take themselves all that seriously. Murder on the Orient Express doesn't do much for me, though it is the best written of the 3. Albert Finney's ridiculous performance ruins the movie imo.

Murder on the Orient Express doesn't do much for me, though it is the best written of the 3. Albert Finney's ridiculous performance ruins the movie imo. I did see Murder, and Albert did ruin it for me. Possibly the worst acting nomination of all time. (Though not much to ruin there, that twist kinda sucks) |

(Though not much to ruin there, that twist kinda sucks) I am okay with the twist, but the conclusion certainly could have been better. I like the remake and the original about the same. I am a fan of Branagh's version of the character, besides his silly giant mustache. In Death on the Nile 2022, his mustache has an origin story.

I liked Death on the Nile more because I hated the killer(s) reveal in Murder on the Orient Express (admittedly a fault of the original story)

Murder on the Orient Express is at least watchable and has a good cast and has atmosphere.
Death on the Nile is a horribly edited and visually ugly movie with some of the most uninteresting characters and performances ever put on screen.

I thought Murder on the Orient Express was bad and Death on the Nile was terrible. I'm a fan of the books, that's the only reason I saw the movies, but I doubt I'll waste my time if Branagh makes a third one.
