I'll say pretty good. The acting is on point, even if it can sway from super serious to a bit rye. Its stock footage of jets in flight is the only juxtaposition from stage play feel, & those quick cut shots don't fully convey for me.

10/10. Seeing it in a theater with an audience who doesn't know what's coming can be a powerful experience. When the President (Henry Fonda) reveals his plan, someone sitting nearby said out loud, "I'd tell him to go to hell!" And then there were the stunned reactions as people were leaving the auditorium. Tremendous impact. Great performance by the fine actor Frank Overton who played Gen. Bogan, the true lead in the movie. Overton doesn't have a long filmography (13 movie credits) but a lot more in TV. After "Fail-Safe" probably his most remembered performance was as Sheriff Heck Tate in "To Kill A Mockingbird."
