Looking back, im very nostalgic about my childhood in the 80s and 90s

I look back quite a bit, because the past shaped me and it has taken a lot of time for me to understand the extent of the influence.

And, having had a life-threatening disease diagnosed when I was only thirty-five... I never look too far forward, because I know how things can turn on a dime.

I try to live every day to the fullest. I have lived longer than I ever expected to already.

I mostly just focus on the present and what I need to do for that day. I rarely look back. I guess I find it depressing to think of people and animals and ways of life that are gone now, so I'd rather not dwell on it too much. I learn what I need to learn from the past, and then move on.

I find it pretty depressing to think about the future, too, because there will inevitably be more loss. So, I just focus on here and now, and cherish the people and things in my life while I can. I'll be content that, for the moment, things are okay, and try to hold on to time rather than letting it slip away unnoticed.

Usually, i just enjoy life to it's fullest.
