Politics aside, why should Disney have special privileges? Because it's willingly taking on additional responsibilities and obligations in exchange for those privledges?

Politics aside, why should Disney have special privileges? Right...put politics aside and think about it. They either should or shouldn't have Reedy Creek. It was either economical for the state to have that arrangement or not. If it was advantageous for the state for Disney to run Reedy Creek then it was in the state's best interest for whatever reason. If it was NOT advantageous to the state then they shouldn't....politics aside. A political statement about an unrelated law shouldn't be the deciding factor. Why would it have been 'ok' for them to (continue to) have special privileges if they'd just kept their mouths shut about Desantis' new law, but it's 'ok' to lose that privilege because someone said something? It sounds like Desantis showed and shows favoritism toward politically correct businesses. So...I say yes, set politics aside and do what's best for Florida. But why now? Desantis had been gov since 18 and Scott was before him. Did Reedy Creek just NOW become a burden for the state and Desantis just used the excuse of them complaining as the reason to dissolve it, instead of telling the truth?
