That was beautiful.
They dropped the slapstick and did something no one expected, and their harmony was perfect.
The Marx Bros and Laurel and Hardy are famous for doing musical numbers in their features without sacrificing their characters. What a shame The Stooges didn't include one now and then. There are recordings of them signing, so they were perfectly capable of pulling it off.
The closest they came to a doing anything musical was The Woman Haters, which was in rhyme. It doesn't get a lot of love from Stooges fans, but I've always liked it.

Oh, good. And thanks for the seasonal song.
It was a gothic horror afficianado on imdb who schooled me for years on everything old school, from Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis, to the Stooges & his favourites, Abbott & Costello. Until speaking with him online, I had no idea what was being parodied by that particular song in 'Forbidden Zone' (he was a big Tim Burton fan too).
