I am frequently in this building. That is Anna Pavlova in gold at the top. Just out of shot, to the right, is Pavlova's - a bar named for her. But don't try to order the ethereal pudding there.

Stag, I know where that theater is. My favorite hotel in London, is the Grosvenor Victoria, which has an internal entrance to Victoria Station. The address of the hotel is 101 Buckingham Palace Road ... so cool. (Actually, I think that Grosvenor sold to another chain, since I last stayed there in 2018.)
I've never had Pavlova. But, I've had another British dessert ... Eton Mess. It, too, has meringue, with whipped cream and fresh berries.
Next time I'm there, I'll try the Pavlova bar. I do like "The Shakespeare" pub, which is also nearby.

I wouldn't like it if it's named after that.

Pavlova's Bar is worth a little visit, and as it's part of the theatre why not kill two birds with one stone next time you're there and see the show too? Yes, I believe the Grosvenor is owned by a Qatar company now but looks reassuringly unchanged for you to enjoy next time. Also, the Shakespeare pub is alive and well too, awaiting your return. I've never tried Eton Mess - I've never even seen one in real life. Perhaps next time I see it on a menu I'll order it, try something different. Let me try to find that thread... Okay. Wow, 3½ years, where does time go! imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/139499/curse-best-burger-tourist

Wow, you have an impressive memory ... not to mention board-recovery skills!
I don't know when that picture of the Victoria Palace was taken. But, Hamilton was playing when I was there. I already had plans to see it, a couple of months after returning home.
I never did get to the burger place. I'll put it on the "to do" list (again), for the future.

That is quite a recent picture, yes. Hamilton is still playing, booked until at least October 2022!
