I've always loved apple pie, but if we're talking a good Dutch apple pie, with a crumb or streusel topping (and caramel drizzled on top for an EXTRA kick of scrumptious goodness !!), rather than just a plain pie crust top, that is NEXT LEVEL, and VERY hard to beat !!
One I have not had in many years is called galactabureco. Probably my favorite dessert. Sheets of phylo (or however you spell it) somehow layered with simple egg custard. They must add something else that makes it unique. First had that in a Greek restaurant. Best served warm.
