She's one of the most powerful women in the show business but always favoured the stage. Seen as a teacher here in U K, a bit like Diana Rigg. It's just a shame she's made so few movies.

This was meant to be her breakthrough role but I think she rejected advanced offers. Instead, she returned to the stage and worked in television to earn a decent living.

You do know that’s the wrong DVD cover. It’s of the Jonathan Miller version. Fiona’s version was 1972 with Michael Crawford, Ralph Richardson, Flora Robson, Roy Kinnear, Michael Hordern, Spike Mulligan, Dudley Moore, Peter Bull, and Michael Jayston. They both had Peter Sellers.

She is much too pretty to playAnastasia in Nichols and Alexandra. But she did something more interesting than a by the numbers biographical performance. She played the Anastasia of our feelings, she played the Anastasia who might have been if she had had a chance to grow up. She played the Anastasia we grieve for.

I noticed her in RUN WILD RUN FREE and again in the hit TV series about trainee nurses ANGELS in the 70s, She was a memorable Bond Girl in A VIEW TO A KILL
