The movie is probably Jim Cameron at his least serious, forgoing heavy themes of nuclear annihilation, colonialism, or evil icebergs. Instead, we're treated to scenes like Arnold rescuing his daughter from Islamic terrorists in spectacular fashion.

James Cameron directed the shit out of that scene! Always get a good laugh at that terrorist getting hit in the nuts  God damn 90s actions movies were so much fun and entertaining. True Lies definitely being one of them. Sure it was so over the top and absurd at times but I'll take Arnold flying around in a Harrier jet around skyscrapers to rescue his daughter from terrorists any day of the week over Vin Diesel driving thru Dubai skyscrapers in those stupid as shit Fast & Furious movies. Also the "BRIDGE IS OUUUUT!!!!" scene in True Lies shits all over pretty much every action sequences being made today. imo.
