There is no way he can risk his life for stunts. The movie company insurance requires that the performer cannot risk their lives. So whatever he does is being CGI assisted--even the behind the scenes stuff. They lie--they aren't going to be honest. They have to market it somehow--so the angle is "he's 60 and he's doing these dangerous stunts!" Sure he is. He's one of the producers of these films, he owns the rights to Mission Impossible. That's why he's able to do all these stunts. Give credit where it's due. Not everything is a conspiracy. There are fan videos of him actually performing these stunts. Besides he remembers to pray for Xenu to give him strength eight times a day.

There are fan videos of him actually performing these stunts. It does not matter if he is the producer--the money supplier decides. Technically the money may be coming from government subsidies but I doubt very much, unless he is blackmailed or desperate to be in the limelight, that he is going to do anything that can actually be fatal.
At 60 he is a huge insurance risk-he was never a stunt man in his youth either.
They can use CGI in fan videos too you know. If someone can impersonate him in a TikTok video, they can also erase wires or safety nets.
Seems like "he does his own stunts!" is the selling angle.
The scene in Matinee where John Goodman is told the nuke shelter salesman guaranteed the door couldn't be opened for 30 years and he says "boy, am I in the wrong business," comes to mind.

You seem paranoid. I've seen plenty of videos that were shot by regular people which clearly show Cruise performing these stunts. You haven't provided any evidence to counter his "fake stunts". You can check Youtube for the various stunts he has performed whuch were shot my regular people. Again, being one of the producers gives him the oppurtunity to perform these stunts. Insurance doesn't really matter. Like I said, not everything is a conspiracy.

Cruise was a never a stunt man and yet after 60 he apparently becomes one. Most stunt men retire before 60 you know.

According to Variety, at least a portion of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two will take place on a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Adriatic Sea. Details regarding the sequence are being kept under wraps, but Cruise is reported to have boarded the vessel via helicopter off the coast of Italy before the ship traveled to "somewhere between Italy and Croatia." Cruise is expected to complete filming in the region this week before then traveling to his next filming destination. The head of Apulia Film Commission calls the Italian part of production a "complex shoot."

While speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference (via Deadline), Bakish claimed "the audience lost their mind" in an early test screening for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. The CEO went on to praise the movie and Cruise for his work on the project. Read what Bakish said below: “The movie is insane. It’s a complete thrill ride, and Tom, you know, he’s very good.”

These films are becoming like Tom Cruise stunt reels with a plot. The last two were so dull and incoherent.
Didn't Renner complain about they were making stuff along as they filmed. It's probably why they didn't bring him back.
