Looks bloody spectacular. Although I hate the 'Part One' addition in the title. Also, did I just watch a man commit suicide?

Looks like it should be a fun action-packed time just like the previous ones.

"...There is a returning character from Fallout and returning in a delightfully unexpected way… Kind of an Easter egg in part one and then in full force in part two."
Either Henry Cavill or Sean Harris.

During their conversation with McQuarrie, the hosts brought up a fan theory that the scuba suit seen in Dead Reckoning's submarine scene could be used to exit the submarine through the missile hatch. McQuarrie coyly responded, saying that "everything that that person is speculating on is certainly something you could do with that suit." Read his full quote below: We came up with this submarine sequence, that then kind of ran away… it took on a life of its own, as things in Mission do, and it became… something of a character in and of itself. [That fan theory is] interesting. That’s all very fascinating. That sounds like stuff that would be exciting to put in a movie... I would say everything that that person is speculating on is certainly something you could do with that suit.screenrant.com/mission-impossible-7-submarine-stunt-theory-director-response/

Speaking to Empire Magazine, McQuarrie reveals that the film title has a particular source, which in turn spells an unsavory path ahead for our agent and his institution. It would seem that ghosts from the past will be reawakened when next we see our stunt-loving super-agent gracing our screens. “There are many things emerging from Ethan’s past,” the director says. “‘Dead reckoning’ is a navigational term. It means you’re picking a course based solely on your last known position and that becomes quite the metaphor not only for Ethan, but several characters.” collider.com/mission-impossible-dead-reckoning-title-explained-christopher-mcquarrie-comments/

Cruise is insane. These little stunt commercials he and McQuarrie are doing are so good.

Cruise is insane. These little stunt commercials he and McQuarrie are doing are so good. My sentiments, exactly. He's friggin' nuts but he's also one hell of an entertainer.

There is no way he can risk his life for stunts. The movie company insurance requires that the performer cannot risk their lives. So whatever he does is being CGI assisted--even the behind the scenes stuff.
They lie--they aren't going to be honest. They have to market it somehow--so the angle is "he's 60 and he's doing these dangerous stunts!"
Sure he is.

That's why he's able to do all these stunts. Give credit where it's due. Not everything is a conspiracy. There are fan videos of him actually performing these stunts.
