At the very least, Dr. Strange MoM has recalibrated my MCU expectations... from revealing steps to the new macro arc, to just enjoying what's in front of me.

Loki deserves a spot in here somewhere, but not due to age.

Apparently cameos by… Grandmaster and Eitri were also cut. That really sucks. Would’ve enjoyed seeing those two again.

Loki deserves a spot in here somewhere, but not due to age. The old Marvel stats had the power grid from the Marvel Universe guide. The guide stats & the fans stats. I copied these to a flash drive in 2011 but the site had them up for a few years prior. Thor(movie) was 2010 so this is comic book stats

Currently sitting at 71% in RT. That's... quite surprising.
While I was expecting this movie to have issues, I didn't expect it to be the 4th lowest ranked MCU movie.

Phase 4 is definitely the weakest.

With how much Ragnarok was loved by critics this makes me wonder if that film was a fluke?

With how much Ragnarok was loved by critics this makes me wonder if that film was a fluke? It's similar to GOTG and GOTG2, just worse. When James Gunn first came onboard, you could tell that Feige (and the board) had kept him on a much shorter leash. The end result was a great GOTG movie. In the second movie, it seemed they trusted him more to do his own thing because he had already proven himself, so you ended up with a GOTG2 that wasn't as great as GOTG because it had a bit too much of Gunn's flavor (nipple and turd jokes galore). With Taika it's seems exactly the same... except magnified. He put his own spin on Ragnarok but that movie still had quite a firm hand from Feige. This movie seems like they allowed him to go full Waititi and that eventually harmed it. The biggest flaw with the Phase 4 movies, at least in my opinion, is that the MCU is allowing the directors too much leeway to do their own thing and put their own flavor in the movies. Eternals, MoM, Thor L&T... all of these feel too much like their directors and not enough like the usual MCU movies. People complain about the MCU formula a lot but that formula actually worked. We need a bit more of that in the Phase 4 films.

We need a bit more of that in the Phase 4 films. I think a bigger problem might be that the increased output is making it difficult to maintain proper quality control. Before Phase 4, Feige only had to manage two to three movies a year. Now he has to manage three to four movies a year, plus a bunch of Disney+ shows, and whatever that Star Wars project is supposed to be.
