Died in his sleep apparently.
They said the same thing about Bob Saget, the first go around, are we also going to find out later somebody beat the hell out of Ray too?

What a sudden and devastating loss. He was so good in Field of Dreams and Goodfellas, and I always felt he deserved a bigger career. May he rest in peace.
With this awful news in mind, I look forward to seeing Cocaine Bear, which I was interested in seeing before his untimely death.

It’s possible Liotta had health problems and just didn’t let anyone know.

It’s possible Liotta had health problems and just didn’t let anyone know. I'm not sure if it's relevant as we should wait for an autopsy, but he was in Chantix commericals confessing he was an ex-smoker.

I wish they made a "Figgsy" spin-off movie. Too late now, I guess. RIP.

Who would have thought he'd be the first Goodfella to die.

FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! I just heard the news just now. Celeb/actors deaths don't normally have any effect on me but after learning that Ray Liotta died it literally felt like someone punched me in the stomach. My friends and I grew up watching Ray Liotta and he was always a favorite of mine (having followed his acting career spanning decades) . As others have pointed out, he was always reliable and gave it his all on screen. Just such a talented actor all around (whether it be dramatic , comedic or an intense as hell scene) You could always count on Ray Liotta to deliver the goods. IMO Ray Liotta should have been at least nominated for an Oscar for his criminally underrated performance in Narc. One of the most underrated performances I've ever seen. RIP Ray Liotta.

Was very surprised to hear this earlier. I just finished watching Narc, which I've been meaning to get to for quite a while, as I've heard it's one of Liotta's best performances. Good movie and a very good performance from Ray.

Jennifer Lopez responds to the news from that cop show they did together. "Ray was my partner in crime on Shades of Blue," Lopez writes. "The first thing that comes to mind is he was so kind to my children. Ray was the epitome of a tough guy who was all mushy on the inside … I guess that’s what made him such a compelling actor to watch. The original Goodfella." movieweb.com/jennifer-lopez-ray-liotta-tribute/I sat through three seasons of that for J-Lo's ass and Liotta chewing the scenery. They did play off each other very well. I wish they did a better project together.
