Well, it's nice to see Warwick Davis is still getting work. And Joanne Whalley too. I was so happy to see Sorsha again.

Well, it's nice to see Warwick Davis is still getting work. About 10 years ago, he starred as a fictional version of himself in a hilarious show called Life's Too Short. (Get it? Too short? Did the joke go...over your head? Okay, I'll stop now.) The version of himself on the show was actually pretty awful. Case in point: he runs a talent agency for dwarfs, but his clients realize he's been stealing jobs from them by telling people they can't do a thing and offering to do it himself. I think the show wad produced by Ricky Gervais.

I'll give this a chance, but without Kilmer's charming and heroic Madmartigan and without James Horner's iconic score, it's lost some of the key ingredients.

I only heard of this new series yesterday but by some kind of cosmic coincidence, earlier this week I watched the feature film it is based on for the first time since I saw it in the theater 34 years ago. My full review of the film should be on the weekly Saturday thread “What classics did you see…” on the Classic Film board tomorrow if I can motivate myself to actually write it. Absolutely love the film with this one reservation. Warwick Davis is clearly the main character and the movie is named for him yet he is billed third behind Val Kilmer and Joanne Whaley.
Davis has an excellent role in the Season 7 episode of Doctor Who, “Nightmare In Silver” (2013).

Just like Christopher Reeve in Superman and Michael Keaton in Batman. Well, Keaton was second-billed in Batman, so I guess he's a step above Reeve and Davis. Then he finally got top billing in Batman Returns and will probably get top billing in The Flash.
