The ending left his fate rather unanswered. I feel like a sequel probably was planned at one point but it just never happened.

I could've sworn I remember him talking about a sequel at one point.

Nope. Because most likely it would bomb and that would discourage him from making any more films. I hope he doesn't come out with one next that bombs, whatever that will be. Because then he would not want to make future things.
As long as the next one he makes , makes money. He will continue to direct films.

As long as Tarantino doesn't make it his last film, sure.

I thought A Million Ways to Die in the West answered that question?

Not particularly. If one sprung into existence then I'd definitely watch it, but I thought it worked as a standalone movie. With the exception of the Kill Bills, Tarantino's made standalone movie after standalone movie. Most of them indelible, all of them watchable. I think it's a good streak. I really do not mind franchises and sequels at all, but I enjoy seeing standalone movies matter too.
I also thought I heard Tarantino has one more movie left in him, so I'd hope it's something unlike anything he's done before. A bang to go out on.

No. It's perfect as a standalone film.

I think that ship has sailed a while ago, and it works fine as a standalone.

Apparently we almost had a Django/Zorro crossover movie that Quentin Tarantino was interested in directing.

As long as Tarantino doesn't make it his last film, sure. I think he's on record suggesting Once Upon a Time was his last grand picture. His next feature will likely be less ambitious, perhaps more personal.

Not really. Django is one of Tarantino’s weakest movies imo.

His next feature will likely be less ambitious, perhaps more personal. I read that aswell, he could finish on a high with OAUATIH. I hope he still has some magic left for another, I will miss Tarantino. He has mentioned Kill Bill Vol 3, he counted kill Bill 1 and 2 as the same movie, perhaps he'll include that as a bonus.
