I can't take Chad crying like this...omg. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS?! Nice to see Cady back however. Is Tripp leaving for real? I don't remember hearing anything about this.
Only 3 episodes this week because of golf.
Monday, June 13 A shocking death rocks Salem. Tripp delivers surprising news to Steve and Kayla. Things heat up between Belle and EJ. Allie and Chanel grow closer.
Tuesday, June 14 Lucas wakes up from his bender with no memory of the night before. A terrible tragedy brings Jack and Jennifer back to Salem. Chad lashes out at Kate. Leo and Gwen accuse one another of murder.
Wednesday, June 15 Chad grills Kate about Lucas. Tripp says good-bye to Ava and Steve. Li breaks difficult news to Gabi. A guilt-ridden Lucas consoles Jennifer.

Lucas Adams is leaving for now as revealed in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest. He’ll be back on Beyond Salem in July and Ron Carvilati said that Tripp’s exit is just temporary.
Again, I think that Abigail’s death is being staged. Especially since Leo was seriously questioning Gwen’s state of mind. He’s devious but not a killer. Plus, this is going to give Chad the opportunity to shine on his own for a while. I’m looking forward to seeing where this will take his character. Will he become more of a true DiMera now? Or will Abigail be in his conscience and leading him to continue to be the great man he’s become?
I just hate how Lucas is always being portrayed as such a weak character. Bryan deserves better than this.
Also, how much closer do Allie and Chanel need to grow? That’s such a stupid thing on the Days spoiler.

I thought Billy was just so great on Monday, I really like him and Chad as you know. He was super. I also enjoyed the scenes with him and Dan, I thought they did a good job. MBE and SN were also great, of course they would be so distraught losing their beloved niece. I am looking forward to Billy on his own and seeing where they take Chad. I wouldn't mind a darker side for sure.
The stuff I DIDN'T like was making everyone who barely knows Abigail so upset, such as Belle...and then Johnny calling Jack and Jennifer aunt and uncle. Huh? No...Allie barely acknowledges Jennifer is her aunt so not sure why Johnny would consider them his relatives when he's not blood related to them in the slightest and he definitely does not consider Lucas a step father in any capacity. that was a bad dialogue mistake if you ask me.
Where are Julie and Maggie? they would be so devastated over Abigail! I really hate this story. I don't like what they are doing to Lucas either. Lucas is a great character and Ron has just ruined him. Kidnapping Sami was too much but now this with him thinking his killed Abigail is over the line.
I have zero interest in Chanel and Allie or Chanel and Johnny because I think Chanel is boring and makes the other two boring. I find the idea of twins fighting over the same person interesting just now with Chanel. I enjoy Chanel with Lani and her mom, she has more personality with them.
I am glad that Tripp will be back. I like him and I like Lucas Adams. they just need to find a romance for him. There isn't anyone on the show for him unless they really SORAS Sydney and bring her in...

I’m hoping that a recast for Claire is in the works and a reconciliation for Claire and Tripp would be great. But I didn’t really like him with Allie or Chanel. Plus, isn’t he a bit too old for their age group? I think of Tripp as being close to thirty and the wonder twins and Chanel in their early 20s.
I’m sure Julie and Maggie would have been very involved in this week’s episodes but this was filmed late in January and Covid levels were extremely high then with the Delta and Omicron strains. Perhaps, the older set decided to sit this one out? Heck, it even kept Missy Reeves away.
I just get so frustrated that they’re over 5 months ahead again with the filming stages. It seemed more fresh when everything aired closer to the filming dates.

Today's episode was intense. Billy and Cady were great, and Bryan. I cried a lot!!! It takes a lot for Days to make me cry anymore!!! I do hope they show SSH and SR, they should be there for Jennifer.
I don't get why they keep filming so far ahead. They can't correct the storylines this way. 2-3 months sure but 5-7 is too many. And they are obviously filming more material than they can used based on all the cut scenes and strange editing we see from time to time (Friday's episode case in point).
I totally forgot about Claire. She would be good for Tripp yes. I am not sure how old he is supposed to be. Abigail is older than Brady and Belle and EJ but they were aged ahead of her so who knows how old anyone should be anymore.

So, it’s been a crazy thing going on for so long with aging some of the characters. Hope was aged from 8 to 15 in the early 80s. Then, Jennifer came back as a 15 or 16 year old girl when she was 10. Carrie is actually close to where she should be if not spot on. Of course, Sami and Eric should be about 40 now. Sarah is actually a bit younger now. Shawn Douglas was born in 1987. Brady, I think was born in 1992. Sonny was born around 1990 or 91. Abigail in 92 or 93. Will in 1994. Belle and Phillip would have been born close to one another around 1995. And EJ I believe was born in 1997. Wow!!!!

Sarah was in her 20s in the early 90s when she was on with Melissa so they definitely de-aged her! Eric and Sami were born in 1984 so they are definitely older than their characters but not by much.
It's all those kids born in the 90s, they have swapped their ages all around. Brady is older than Sami now! lol It's not a big deal in the soap world it's just amusing they don't even attempt to keep the ages in chronological order.

Wow! I thought that Sami and Eric were born in 1982. I was off by a couple of years. But, you’re right, the 90s were really crazy for SORASing the kids. I’m actually surprised that Ari and Holly are still somewhat young. I’m sure they’ll be the next set of teens with Thomas very soon.
I just watched this week’s episodes and I must say they were very gut wrenching. Cady is actually a much better actress than Melissa Reeves. I wonder how she would have played those scenes? But, Billy Flynn was the one that really made me cry.

I hope they don't SORAS Thomas too soon, he's so cute! I still wish Shawn and Belle had more kids. it always bugged me as children of epic characters that they only have one child and she's not even on the show.
Billy wrecked me, I thought he was so good. SO many people are criticizing all of the performances. I thought Cady did a great job as well, everyone is saying she should have done this or that, but like, until you have actually seen your dead child on a metal slab, there is not "should" or "right" way to react. Like her scream was at the wrong time. Ugh. I thought it was good and realistic. Same with Billy. Seeing things, not sure what to do, trying to hold back a full break down. Him screaming at Kate was intense and she deserved it. When he told her to shush and held up his finger to his mouth, that was really good. I am curious how Melissa Reeves would have tackled these scenes as well. I agree Cady is a better actress in general but Melissa is the iconic Jennifer.
I don't know, I thought it was emotional and everyone did a good job. I just would have liked to see Julie and Maggie involved as well.
