Seen some episodes with her and husband in a rather nice documentary series called Great Canal Journeys 2014 to 2019, where they do just that, travel canals, not just in Britain but all over the world. Happy Birthday Prunella Scales!

Prunella Sybil deflecting criticism from FAWLTY TOWERS' guests with her "Oooooooooooooooooooh I Know!" response is one of the constant joys of an enjoyable series.
My parents were big fans of her later travelogue work.

Yes, she has been living with Alzheimer’s for years now. Casting her as Sybil Fawlty was a master stroke - such an indelible character, the perfect foil for Basil.

In latin cultures like France, Italy, Portugal and Spain, bedroom farce is considered an art form and is practised by the great playwrights. I don't think it engenders the same level of respect in the U K.

Oh, cool. I think the writers recognised, like those on the continent, that the U K had several great farce writers active at the time. John Cleese was said to be in awe of savvy American Connie Booth.
