Lately due to some reasons I have been a bit stressed. I do not have any health issues (physical) except for a tooth that occasionally gives some problems. I have been alone in the house for last 2 days. Last morning when I woke up I felt totally dizzy. There was a feeling of nausea and it felt as if the world was going in circles. Instead of going to washroom after waking up I fell down on the floor of my room. It seemed I woke up after an hour or so. I have been feeling somewhat dizzy this whole day. I wonder if stress is causing this or it could be something else? Could it be dehydration? I am thinking about drinking some ORS.

OMG, AJ, you could have an infection under that tooth and that is dangerously close to the brain. Yes, stress might be a factor but falling and losing consciousness? Call a doctor now!

I'm not a doctor or anyone medically qualified, but it sounds like it might be a good idea to seek professional medical advice if possible. In addition to the dizziness, if you were to pass out again, you could hit your head on a table or something sharp.
Hopefuly they can get you checked out and if there's nothng serious, it might provide you with some peace of mind. All the best.

Yes Rachel, If I wake up tomorrow with the same feeling then surely I will visit a doctor. I do need to try and stop feeling stressed about things. I wish I could have had a 6 months break from job and went on a vacation to some hill or wherever there is quiet and peace from urban life. But that's just a wish. Don't think the company I work for will give me a 6 months break. And I can't afford to resign from the job. Just need to live positively given my current situation.

Aj_June, I think that the bottom line is see a doctor.
Like Petrolino, I have no medical training. However, I did spend many years working with a "media doc," screening calls for his radio call-in program.
When a caller would ask about dizziness, he would ask for clarification ... did the caller mean "light headedness" or "room spinning?" He said that room-spinning was more likely to be related to inner ear problems. You said that you have a tooth problem. Teeth are close to ears.
And, Rachelcarson is also right about the proximity to the brain.See a doctor, and include the information about the tooth.
We care about you.
