I know this may seem odd, but THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES always makes me feel patriotic, I think in part because of the cost to the soldiers and those on the home front who sacrificed so much to help save the world from decimation. And maybe because it also reminds me of the sacrifices my father and uncles made to fight in WWII and the Korean War. I guess, for me, patriotism is something better recognized after the fact. I don't think I can identify it as something that inspires me to want to fight. I'm probably in the minority in that. Interesting question to ponder. Not an easy one either.
