I'm fine with him staying but they still need to bring in attackers.

Imho too old, but as a joker...is there a joker-concept in the English footie-language?

why not , great impact sub.
he will still mess with defenders heads as he can score from anywhere. and has the frame to shield the ball without pace.

Greizman is the obvious choice. I'm even starting to entertain the idea of... Kane?

Imho too old, but as a joker...is there a joker-concept in the English footie-language? Is that a Jeux sans Frontiers reference? Nah, according to the dictionary you call it "super substitute"; Runie call it an impact sub what describes the actual idea. A player that is meant to serve as a sub only but then with a decisive impact. One bets on striker A and give him a very aggressive style of play (a lot of pressing, running and fighting for every ball, wearing down both down: the striker and the defense of the other team), and when the opponent has become tired, has become prone for mistakes, one brings a quality striker/player like him who can serve a powerplay for the rest of the game, making the difference. We also know the term "Edel-Joker"; luxery impact sub: say Barca is playing with Neymar and Messi and wears a very defesive opponent down, and when the time has come, you bring a fresh Suarez who mauls them - and by this I do not mean the biting. Of course it goes a bit with a risk - a player could be sent off or got injured and you lost your right for the last sub. Schürrle is considered to be a classic Joker. So no French perversions...

Joker suggests they're a risk. Surely, it should be bring on the ace.
Super sub is right. Solskjaer built his entire united career on being that (especially in a certain 99 final)

OK, cheers. Yeah super sub over here. I think the original super sub in English football was David Fairclough of Liverpool FC.
