www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40069681Can't argue with him. When the fans were chanting "you're destroying our club" and hiring planes with "Wenger Out" banners while a game is taking place, you have to think, that's a bit OTT, considering all that he has done for Arsenal.

How long do you show reverence though? He's clearly been a declining force for some time now.

Thread title sounds like a headline from The Sun.

How long do you show reverence though? He's clearly been a declining force for some time now. He hasn't really done that badly this year. He went with a new system with 3 at the back towards the end, and it seemed to be working, they weren't conceding goals, they won most their matches except away at Spurs, 75 points is unlucky not to finish in the top 4, and he is in an FA Cup final. I don't expect Arsenal to win with their defence depleted, but I think I'd give him another year.

I have no sympathy. He is a stubborn bleeder who has led a lot of AFC fans a merry dance with his going/staying silent nonsense. Respect is a two way street, what? Or is he entitled to remain tight lipped about his position? I don't know.

Fuck him. Should have been sacked a decade ago. I really can't agree with this because he is obviously doing what his employers want which is exactly why he Hasn't been sacked. For all we know, it is likely that his mission is top 4 every year to the expense if necessary of everything else, in which case it could be argued that he has continuously done a fantastic job. The Arsenal fans have every right to want and demand more from the club but perhaps should be directing their ire at the ownership of the club, who, it appears are very happy with the way he has created a (if reports are to be believed), a club worth a billion quid. He has been treated poorly as he has created a club that on their day can beat anyone, and I'd rather watch than anyone else in the EPL. (although Spurs have been lovely to watch at times).

Well, the day has finally arrived when Wenger will sit down with the Board and go through the quickest contract meeting in Premier League history. Yes, they will position themselves around the old oak table, with Wenger presiding of course, this very morning. They'll all be there - 'Stan Kroenke, his son Josh, the chairman, Sir Chips Keswick, the chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, the directors Ken Friar and Lord Harris of Peckham and the club secretary, David Miles.' But actually, it says here, the meeting might well last longer than two minutes as the assembled bods seek to configure a strong way forward for the club. The odds on Wenger being in charge of Arsenal on the opening day of season 2017/18? An unbackable 1/8.
