IMO WB should write John Kosinski (director of Top Gun: Maverick) a blank check to direct a reboot of Green Lantern. Since apparently WB also wants Tom Cruise as Hal Jordan, this would be a no brainer imo. www.giantfreakinrobot.com/ent/exclusive-tom-cruise-green-lantern.htmlGreen Lantern seems like such a fascinating super hero and I don't want it to be remembered as the Ryan Reynolds' dumpster fire. I'm not totally familiar with everything related to Green Lantern but there are more than one of them (the Green Lantern Corps ). Have Tom Cruise play Hal Jordan and cast a young actor as his predecessor or whatever. Oh and get Jar Jar Abrams as far away as possible from this potential project. I keep seeing him being on as executive producer of this and it makes me want to vomit. I don't want to witness that little twerp ruin another franchise. |

First read that as John Krasinski . I've thought about him directing a comic book movie. Green Lantern wouldn't be a bad fit. I think he'd be good at a Superman movie too;whenever that happens. IMO the timing couldn't be more perfect. WB reportedly wants Tom Cruise as Hal Jordan (ironically Hal Jordan is a pilot similar to Maverick lol) , Kosinski and Cruise have worked together twice now. Top Gun Maverick is a bonafide box office smash hit (having crossed over a billion dollars and counting).

I thought Cruise said no to Superhero movies? He has said in an interview that while he enjoys them, he prefers making MI and the Jack Reacher movies. With the odd sci-fi movie thrown in on occasion like Oblivion or Edge of Tomorrow I guess. And maybe he does prefer doing that. But he's getting older, and while he looks pretty healthy for a 60 year old man, he's not getting younger either. But I don't see him just retiring to enjoy himself;he seems too restless for that. So maybe he'll settle for doing a comic-book popcorn flick where he's in front of a green-screen instead of literally jumping off cliffs. Whether it will be for DC or Marvel I'm not sure yet.

As far as I know, neither Hal Jordan or John Stewart were going to be in that HBO Max series. I think it's just the other Lanterns.

I liked what he did with TRON LEGACY, so I'd be all for it. But please, PLEASE do NOT hire T.Cruise!?!?!?! He ruined THE MUMMY's reboot with his nonsense, so just lets have someone who isn't Tom Cruise, be Hal or whomever they choose to be the new Green Lantern, and let's have a nice, comic book movie?
PS: Can we please, someday, have Blue Lanterns? Pretty please, with sprinkles on top?
