Takuma Sakamoto, an asocial gamer, finds himself transported into the game Cross Reverie by a Pantherian named Rem and an elf named Shera. He is now Diablo, the character he created for the game. The world where he finds himself is similar to but not identical to the game, and he soon discovers the powers and tools he acquired in the game now work in 'real' life. Thus begins a series of adventures where he works with Rem, Shera, and a host of other characters to save the world. The plot is reasonably interesting, the characters are engaging, and the battle scenes are fun even though you know Diablo can never lose. The downside is that the series is ecchi with an overload of sexual fantasy. In most cases, this is used to display Sakamoto's discomfort in interacting with female characters, and in a few cases, it is used to advance to the plot. A couple times, it nears hentai without quite crossing that line. If you can tolerate the eroticism, you might find this series worthwhile, but it's definitely not for everyone.
