After Robert Osborne, I liked Ben Mankiewicz the best. Though Alicia Malone is easier on the eyes. Overall, I think the roster of hosts do a good job.

I cast my vote for Ben as overall good, but Eddie Muller is a specialist, the Czar of Noir, the Doyenne of Darkness, and he is the absolute the best in his narrow range of interest.

I think they all do a good job overall.
Is it just me or is TCM's overall quality sinking badly. It seems like they are showing a lot of MST3K type films. Even in prime time. Last night they shows a gem called "Breakin'" at 8 pm. Really?

I guess I like Ben Mankiewicz best overall, but they have each carved out a niche of sorts and they all do a good job of presenting good information in a pleasing way.
I am less interested in a lot of the offerings, but I have seen very few of the films made in the 21st century, and I would not say I am knowledgeable about films since 1990. I cannot expect my limitations to rule the programming. I am still glad to have TCM.

I thought Ben Mankiewicz did an excellent job filling Osborne's shoes and, as others have mentioned, Muller is great in his noir niche.
Before Comcast shoved TCM into a Pay Sports Package I was a staunch regular, but I don't watch tv sports and I'm not about to pay for something I don't like just to watch the one thing I do. As for TCM quality, I still check their daily menu (mostly out of habit, I suppose) It looks as if they are suffering from the law of diminishing returns. How many times can one watch the same 1920-1970 era movies before going into snooze mode? That not even getting into the fact that their viewers have their own film libraries of the same content.
TCM, faced with the choice of dying by familiarity or by low quality, have moved into the later decades, disappointing their original patrons and, apparently, not gaining much favor with the newer breed.

I doubt it will ever be shown at 8 PM again.

I like them all. They all do a very good job.
Alicia Malone is the one I see the most because she does the international films Sunday Night.
