I'm sure I can be a terrible pest with my "for the record" corrections but, despite Getty Images captioning, that's singer Gloria Loring with Hope. That's Donna Mills below in her 1980s heyday. I hope I haven't been too annoying.

No, not at all. I kept looking at the picture and thinking how different she looked for 1970 just 3 years on from making 'The Incident' (1967). I even looked at other pictures on google of Donna Mills with Bob Hope whom she seemed to know. I've not heard of Gloria Loring before but apparently she's pop sensation Robin Thicke's mother. Thanks!

To U.S. audiences of variety and talk shows of the '60s and '70s, Loring was a familiar presence. And thank you for being so gracious.

My favourite part of being here, other than the company, is how much I'm able to learn. Here's Donna Mills at the premiere of 'Nope' ...

Wow! I hate to sound superficial, but doesn't she look fabulous (at 81, yet)! Good for her. EDIT: Have to add this: showed hubby these photos, and he said, "Her attic must be interesting."

I love her suit (and she wears it well).

I actually remember her short lived TV series, “The Good Life”, with Larry Hagman and David Wayne. It wasn’t half bad and it’s where I first developed my crush on her.

Can't go wrong with the tailored suit look, ultra-chic in any era, and the white makes the wearer look as crisp and fresh as the first day of spring. She wears it well, indeed.

Among the things I find interesting and fun are the ways in which long careers intersect, diverge and then re-intersect. Hagman and Mills both went on to play members of the Ewing clan on, respectively, Dallas and its spin-off Knots Landing, and Wayne originated the role of Ewing family nemesis "Digger" Barnes on the former.

Wow - 50 years after PLAY MISTY FOR ME. She was all over TV in the 70s. Never really became a big screen star though - never knew why!? Always liked her.

Donna Mills is not aging, she's still looking great! Growing up in the 80's at my house, you had to watch KnotsLanding on Thursday nights. Her Abby Fairgate Cunningham Ewing Sumner was the reigning bitch queen of the cul-de-sac, but Mills infused her with a softness that was usually reserved for her son and daughter. It was never the same when she left. Gloria Loring co-wrote both the Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life theme songs with then husband, Alan Thicke. She also sang the theme for The Facts of Life. She's also an actress.
