Meg also originated the role of Cagney in the Cagney & Lacey series in 1982, but the network felt that she and Tyne Daly were too similar, so she was replaced by Sharon Gless. As much as I love Meg, I think that was a wise decision. In Sharon's later series, The Trials of Rosie O'Neill, Meg had a recurring role as an ADA. She's had a substantial, enduring career, especially in television. I love her voice, too. And her laugh, though in her roles she never gets to laugh that much. But she's still working! Good for her on that.

She has a great voice, for sure. Carries real authority. John Carpenter said she has a quality for being grounded that's ideal for anchoring fantastical plot elements.
Meg Foster and Malcolm McDowell are friends with electric blue eyes ...

Her eyes always totally creeped me out .... especially in black and white ...it looks like she has no pupils to the point of distraction. Good actor to listen to tho!

After Frank Langella’s Skeletor, she was probably the second best thing about “Masters of the Universe” (1987) as Evil-Lyn. They deserved a better movie.

Meg was a great 'Hester Prynne' in a TV adaptation of THE SCARLET LETTER in the late 1970s.
