Nothing more unfortunate than crisps/potato chips served with a good sandwich. Why is that? Crisps have always been a snack alone for me. How would you eat them with a good sandwich? Take turns? Yuk. They just don't roll together. A good self-contained sandwich deserves your complete attention and delectation. A beverage would be the only acceptable accompaniment for me.

However, as I said on another thread, I love "crisps"/"chips," and I plan to indulge on our upcoming Labor Day. So, having them served, even with a great sandwich, isn't much of a deterrent for me.  |
