Please post your thoughts on the Nolan Family Sisters here, be they negative, or positive. This family group with a strong female vibe has made some memorable recordings and played alongside celebrated elders like Cliff Richard and Cilla Black. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, via Blackpool in England (home of musical innovators Graham Nash & Victoria Hesketh), the Nolan clan were a tight unit with a spring in their high step.
Assorted Nolans (including my favourite Nolan sister Bernadette)
Fun Fact : When the Nolans' offshoot of sisters sought a new recording contract, they were advised to become the Nolans (but not the Nolan Sisters); these sisters selected tracks to suit their own voices and vocal ranges, which meant any of them could potentially take a lead.

Thanks!

They were just ever present in the pop charts at the end of the 70's and into the 80's. The type of innocuous bland stuff your mum would sing along to on the radio. Not sure I can say much more than that, they sold lots of records so obviously made a lot of people happy and made a few bob along the way. More power to them.

Well, if blando pop means seismic key changes, catch-hook melodies and funk-tinged grooves, then sign me up!
