John pampers Marlena with a day of romance. I can see it now, a nice, romantic candlelight dinner at... 4pm. Tapioca pudding, softened prunes, and a Bengay massage...

And don’t forget the strawberries with whipped cream!!!
I thought that Gwen was the actual killer but now I’m starting to think it was Craig Wesley. I could be wrong but they all humiliated him right after he came out and was ready to change his life. The only other one I could imagine would be Clyde Weston or Ava Vitali.

Craig makes more sense than Clyde or Ava. interesting.
Are strawberries and whipped cream supposed to be romantic? barf. I don't care for their romantic scenes at all, when John eats Doc's face I want to vomit.

Funny how the strawberries and whipped cream was always supposed to set up a steamy sex scene between John and Marlena. Funny thing, I believe the strawberries and whipped cream was first done between Marlena and Wayne Northrop’s Roman Brady. John and Marlena were sexy 30 years ago but we don’t need to see any sex scenes between them anymore. That’d be almost as cringeworthy as Doug and Julie making out.

I think with the move to Peacock, the show might become more provocative. I could totally see it becoming more PG-13 rated with more foul language and sex scenes to attract more viewers.

I mean, soaps were more salacious back in the day, right? But people were comparatively more uptight or socially conservative. Then things loosened up, and the soap content stayed the same. I can't help but think of Lucifer moving to Netflix. They got a bit more risque with certain things, especially showing Tom Ellis' backside (and I certainly had no complaints about Aimee Garcia getting in on that action...), but even then, they didn't go as far as they invariably could have for Netflix, either with the extent of nudity (they never showed more than a butt. They'd be full, naked butts, but that's it. Even when they went to a nudist colony, everything was strategically hidden); and the language stayed largely the same, except for where it made sense for the characters to use stronger language. I think my favorite has to be Luficer saying, "Because you f-ing shot me!" I think that was the only time they might have dropped an f-bomb and it was definitely perfect use. I do wonder how have the envelop can be pushed on Peacock though. Peacock's not Netflix, and I feel like the relationship between Peacock and NBC is so intertwined, I'd be surprised if the content goes too far beyond the pale of what would be allowed during say, primetime/nighttime programming on NBC. Maybe a little more than that, but I wouldn't expect say, Game of Thrones. For all I know, there's already content there that proves me wrong.

Actually, I was surprised how far Peacock goes as far as R rated programming. The new Queer As Folk came out on Peacock and it was full of gratuitous nudity, very strong language and adult content. But, I could never see DOOL going down that path. After all, I don’t think that’s what the fans would want from the show. I think the fans are looking for more quality with the budget and stronger storylines. From the previews, it already appears that production values have increased. And, if it becomes a better show in the process, it could be a success.

my literal only request is to fix the sets. they are TOO SMALL and it is beyond ridiculous that EVERYONE lives at the hotel, the Di-Manse or the K-Manse or in John and Marlena's teeny tiny condo.
But really, the sets are too small. In the scene yesterday with Stephanie talking to Abe and Paulina, they were standing in a row and Stephanie had to keep swivelling her head back and forth to talk to them. No one does that! They didn't even have enough space on that set for two people to stand side by side or for them to stand in a circle. It doesn't look good!
