I bet we will one day. I’d be open to it for sure. Maybe by then George RRR Martin will have finished the books and we can get the true ending in live action.

I wouldn't mind seeing a movie on anything related to GoT. However, I think they would probably have to make one that anyone could enjoy, whether they've seen the TV show or not.
I would think an Arya movie about her adventures at sea would be pretty good. And sure, an alternative ending of GoT would be a welcome sight.
Not that I hated the ending but yeah, it could have been a lot better. And Martin is probably never going to finish the book. He has several projects going on right now with HBO that will cut into his time. We'll see what happens but it's not looking good that the final book will ever be written.

Maybe, now that there are different owners. The previous rule of thumb was "we only make content for our subscribers" More proof that HBO is a great company.

I mean a completely new re-adaptation. Not in the same canon as the show.

Oh, in that case, I suppose it wouldn't interest me that much. I like the stories in GoT. But for the sake of "what if" I do think it's highly possible we could see one that's not canon at all.

If they can do it for The Flintstones, Dragnet, 21 Jump Street, The Brady Bunch, etc I just can’t see any reason for there not being a Game of Thrones: The Movie some time in the future.

There's too much money to be had keeping with the current screen canon, and Hollywood is way too arrogant to admit when they've made mistakes. GRRM had been offered movie deals before for his A Song of Ice and Fire series, but he turned them down. They all wanted to condense the story down. Some wanted to make the story just about Arya or Jon and cut out all the other characters. Some wanted to make it 1-2 movies and that's it.

Probably. I wouldn't hold my breathe for "the true ending" from George, but the disappointment of the finale does leave room for improvement for people. That along with a lot of the other changes that offended book faithfuls. Then it remains to be seen how long the show will endure with future generations. You can't really full-on remake Wizard of Oz or Star Wars because everyone still knows those movies.
