I thought Pixar said a while back they would be focusing only on new content and not sequels… I guess their recent films have not performed well enough for them.

I thought Pixar said a while back they would be focusing only on new content and not sequels… I guess their recent films have not performed well enough for them. I was thinking the same thing. In 2019, we were told no more sequels, but a year later, they announced Lightyear and now Inside Out 2. That said, Inside Out hinted at a sequel with the puberty button at the end, but it didn't seem like Pixar would actually follow through with it until now.
