I never saw his later films but his ‘60s era films were/are great. Saw him in an uncredited appearance in The Defector for a brief moment thr other day (Montgomery Clifts last appearance).

I have a couple of Goddard movies. I knew he was alive but nothing more specific.

He was one of the best filmmakers that forever shaped film history by spearheading the French New Wave. May he rest in peace.

I've not seen 'The Defector' (1966). Will look out for it, thanks. I see it was producer Raoul Levy's penultimate film; he co-produced 'Two Or Three Things I Know About Her' (1967) which was released after his death.
I've been fortunate to see most of Jean-Luc Godard's films he directed from the 1960s to the 1980s, but I've seen hardly any of his work from the 1990s on. This gives me something to look forward to.
