Better still was the time I found a €100 bill on a street in Paris. There was no way to find the owner, right.

I guess it all depends on one's definition of "big" prize.
For me, I won a customized hockey jersey at one of the games. After taxes, it would have cost around $250 if I did it on my own.
Back at the old rink where the team used to play, I won the 50/50 a couple of times in one season. One was for just over $300, while the other was just under $500. Mind you - this was just over 20 years ago.
An amusing story (if I may):
Back in the mid-80s, at the grocery store, they had a promotion where they were giving away a swag bag. It was put on by Diet Pepsi because the bag had their logo on it. My brother wanted to be in it. So, as a larf, my father filled out a ballot for him.
Well...after the contest ended, we get a call. The other line wanted to speak to my brother. Now, he was about 4 or 5 at the time, so we thought...who would want to speak to him?
He won the swag bag!

I once won a high-end digital camera at work as part of a sales contest; it was selling for over $1,000 online, so I figured I'd sell it on Amazon at the lowest selling price to get a quick sale. I got a buyer almost right away who wanted me to overnight it directly to her because it was a "special gift for her pastor" and she couldn't wait for two-day delivery. Scammers often tend to mention religion or the church in their scams, maybe because they think victims will trust them more. I took another look at her email with the "Amazon" heading, and that's when I noticed it was spelled "Amzon." I managed to sell it to an honest buyer a short time later.

When I was a kid I won a deluxe He-Man action figure through some competition (I can’t remember its origin or what I had to do to qualify — maybe just a lucky draw?). When it arrived in the mail I was not expecting it!

A pass to a film festival once. Tickets only. Probably worth between $200 and $250, if I had bought the tickets separately.
About $100 at the slots at a casino once. Smaller amounts on other occasions.

Largest amount I've ever won was $100 on a scratch off ticket. I actually thought I'd won $40 and was pleasantly surprised when I turned it in. My brother insists that he won $10k on a scratch off ticket that he lost after he walked to a gas station to try and cash it in in the middle of winter at like 1 a.m. (The gas station wasn't even open at the time.) He was very drunk at the time, and I highly doubt the ticket was a $10k winner. He was so convinced about it that he went back out to try and retrace his steps to find it and ended up slipping on ice and slamming his head, resulting in a concussion.

When I was 13 I was a runner up in Nickelodeon's "Nick or Treat" contest and won 2 boxes of Hershey bars.
I miss those days where you actually filled out an entry form and mailed it in, a lot more fun than 'download this, link this, text this, buy this, like this, share this'.

The station that I worked for carried the 49er games. For one of the Super Bowls, the office "pool" was $20.00 to enter. 4 random numbers were assigned to all entrants (but, I can't recall how). There would be 4 winners, based on the Niners' score at; the end of the first quarter, halftime, end of the third quarter, and the final score. I won 2 of them. I can't remember how much it was. But, on the following Friday, when a large group went for a drink after work, I spent much of it.

I once won $500 from a Golden Corral receipt. I did the 'tell us about your experience' feedback survey at the site listed on the receipt and was entered in the drawing.
I don't know if GC still does that. Mine closed for good.
