All it takes for me to admit I might be wrong is evidence. I'm not an atheist to piss off Christians, I'm an atheist for the same reason I have no belief in Leprechauns, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, Zeus, or any other mythology. Christians think I'm making fun of them when I say things like that but that isn't the intention, Yahweh really is just as silly as the Easter Bunny once you escape the conditioning that makes you believe in the irrational.
You know what I consider to be irrational things to believe?
"Evil doesn't exist." "People are just animals." "A magical but oh so scientific Big Bang just magically happened one day and created EVERYTHING, created everything so PERFECTLY, created an entire species of people with brains and the ability to use them to create things like civilizations, light bulbs, indoor plumbing, gun powder, a numerical system based on ten which aligns with the average number of fingers and toes most people have, the magical explosion KNEW to give people a standard number of 10 digits on both sets of limbs instead of 1 or 5 or 200, and nobody knows how or what caused it, but it's such a fact, it's SOOOOOOO scientific!"
Science can't explain where conscience first began in mankind, empathy doesn't mesh with 'survival of the fittest'. Animals have no sense of 'don't do that because it's wrong', they only know 'try to take what's mine and I'll rip your throat out', especially thousands/millions of years ago when there were no humans to train them.

1) Evil is a concept, like Justice, Truth, Race, and Love, it exists if you believe it exists. But it is not a tangible object that you can measure. 2) People are animals. This is the biological equivalent of flat earth. You would have to be separated from reality to believe otherwise; it can be demonstrated. 3) The Big Bang is no more magical than "god" but there is evidence for the Big Bang, a lot of evidence. Like I said, all it takes to make me change my mind is evidence. --- The rest is mostly an inability to appreciate how much time has passed and understand how much evolution has happened on Earth. Conscience) I believe animals have conscience. Empathy) Are we sure empathy really exists? Or there are just those who are bold and take what they want and those who don't. Wrongness) False. Every behavior in humans is expressed in other animals. Humans are social animals, so you have to compare them to other social mammals. --- Our intellect has allowed us to form complex societies and technology which further influences our behavior. I believe we have not yet adapted to these changes, and they are at the root of mental illness. If we were "designed" then we would be perfectly adapted to our environment and surroundings, we aren't.

If we were "designed" then we would be perfectly adapted to our environment and surroundings, we aren't.
So basically 'if we were designed, we'd be perfect'. Where do you get that logic?

Because that's what designers do, strive for perfection, and it's what you would expect from a flawless designer which is how Yahweh is described by believers, flawless and perfect.

But any Christian would answer by telling you that man WAS originally perfect by design. But that perfection was forfeited because of Adam's disobedience (Rom 5:12).

I did see that you wrote "then we would be perfectly adapted to our environment and surroundings, we aren't." ANY imperfection in man is traced (in Christianity) to Adam's fall. Before Adam blew it, he was in perfect harmony with his paradisaic environment.
