Exciting finish to the Memphis/Cincy game today. March Madness is starting a little early this year.

Indiana beat Purdue for the 2nd time this season last night. I think Purdue may be somewhat overrated, they havenβt played well lately.
UNC upset Virginia, Iβm certain Virginia is overrated.

IU playing well again. Indiana has a pretty good team - I could see them making a run in the tourney. I think Virginia and Purdue are the 2 most overrated teams in CBB.

Maravich's point total record will probably fall.
Pistol Pete: 3,667 points in 83 games over 3 years (freshmen weren't eligible to compete at the varsity level), 44.2 ppg
Antoine Davis, a 6-foot-1 165 lb guard from Detroit Mercy needs 64 points in 2 games to pass Maravich. 3,604 points in 141 games over 5 years (COVID-extension season), 25.6 ppg

Love the article trying to say this guy plays tougher opponents. Yeah, the Horizon League is definitely the best of the best in college basketball.

Iowa blowing out Indiana, I guess the Hoosiers are having a letdown after their road win over Purdue.

Ziegler non-contact blowout for Tennessee. Sucks. While I loathe Rick Barnes I like the way that kid plays the game. Legit NBA talent.

He's playing for a scrub school in a scrub conference, and may use a scrub tournament to break Maravich's record. It's embarrassing, almost as embarrassing as him talking about how hard it is to defend him. Yeah, how dare Youngstown State not just hand you the record. Take that shit to the Big XII if you're so great. Congrats on scoring all those points for a team that never came close to accomplishing anything. They had a fucking losing record in four of his five seasons, with the lone bright spot being a 12-10 campaign in 2020-21. He was definitely the difference maker on the 8-23 team the previous year, pouring in all those points. He averaged 20 FGAs a game and his father is the coach, it must've been fun for everyone else on that team. What a legendary career.

North Carolina's going to get stoned by the committee.
No baskets in the final 4:20, lose to Duke at home, 62-57.

(Just looked it up) No, it's never happened. But it'll happen this year unless they at least make the ACC Final, but even then it won't be a lock unless they win it.

North Carolina's going to get stoned by the committee. No baskets in the final 4:20, lose to Duke at home, 62-57. Their record against Quadrant 1 teams is 1-9, record against teams projected to make the tournament is 2-10. They have two wins against team that were ranked at the time and one was against Ohio State, who was ranked 23rd at the time but now has 18 losses. 7th in the ACC but that conference is a shadow of what it was. Their record is abysmal. Short of a run to the ACC final, they should be NIT bound. But they are the North Carolina Tar Heels and a huge TV draw. They shouldn't get in but I think they will, unless they are bounced in the 1st game.
