The gifted French midfielder possessed sublime interplay skills combined with a telepathic reading of the opposition, always several steps ahead of a planned attack against her team. An accomplished International, she was able to utilize a defending-midfield role equally with an attacking one as and when the flow of the game required. But what really excited me about her was her superb intuition and prowess going forward in a one-on-one situation and the ability to either dribble past the opponent or play the pass to a teammate in a potentially better position, sometimes with split-second thinking time. A real talent of the game and a real crush with eyeliner, you have to say.
