Right now Leverkusen looks most likely. They've been courting him for weeks and he already said he could imagine the move.

Who will get his old job?
What about the Huddersfield manager? He's German.
EDIT: Used to manage BD II as well.

They're trying to sign Favre but so far Nice refuse to let him go.

So Nice aren't playing nice!

Favre will not be Dortmund's coach next season. There are contradictory statements why - either Favre has changed his mind, or Nice categorically said no, or Dortmund didn't want to wait any longer. In any case, Favre's agent has confirmed that a move won't happen this summer.
Meanwhile the mud-fight in Dortmund continues. Looks like a group of "seasoned players" around Schmelzer and Sahin who feared for their place were one of the main reasons Tuchel was dismissed.

L'Equipe claiming Feyenoord's Giovanni Van Brockhurst is set to take over. What a mess..

Kicker says the rumours about Van Brockhurst are "completely unfounded".
That is so unprofessional from Watzke. Fire a successful coach, unleash your media bloodhounds on him to completely damage his reputation, release a press statement saying that the club won't give any details only to publish an "open letter" by Watzke himself (complete with an English version so everyone abroad will read it, too) that reads like a damning employment reference only half an hour later. Then not even having a replacement ready.
Schmelzer and Sahin whining on public TV because Sahin didn't play in the cup final ("my momma was in the stadium and she was totally shocked!!!"), obviously totally ok with Watzke who did nothing to call them back in line. If I were a coach I'd carefully think of whether I'd really want to get myself into this mess. I remember Klopp saying that if he's to stay many more things would have to change than if he leaves. It looks to me like Tuchel attempted and overhaul and there are a couple of older players who are on the decline and rebelled along with some long-time staff members, the players because they feared losing their place and the staff members because they don't want things to change. If that kind of thing is then backed by Watzke, I already feel sorry for the next coach.

Bild says Dortmund will try to finalize a deal with Peter Bosz from Ajax within the next 48 hours. Bosz is already in Dortmund reportedly.

And now, he, Watzke, is crying like a baby: the bad press he received felt like a k.o. by Mike Tyson, albeit through players like Reus and others we know by now that Tuchel was speaking the truth about the game a day right after the bomb attack, that he and many players didn't want to play and expressed it to Watzke. Watzke is the one who was (and is) lying and back-stabbing.

Watzke is the one who was (and is) lying and back-stabbing. He really shot himself in the foot with that Spiegel article. The reactions are devastating. First the press release - "we're not going to give any details" - half an hour later that "open letter" and then he goes whining to Der Spiegel of all media. What was he thinking? Everyone knows Spiegel can portray you in a very bad light without even being outright critical. Now he comes across as a vain narcissist who thinks about no one but himself, and chain smoker who travels around with cigarettes and medication in his car boot, rents a back room in a furniture store restaurant for business talks because that's the only place where he's allowed to smoke non-stop, his kids have to watch over him all the time (son has to be consulted for each and every decision, daughter calls every other hour to make sure Daddy is alright), and who is totally overburdened with the situation. Well done. Wouldn't be surprised if he resigns.

btw: he was fired...and according to this clip/"report", it was in the same hotel where the bombing had taken place, and it was announced as an open-mined meeting (or how you would translate ergebnisoffen?) but it became a twenty-one minutes long monolouge from Watze why he, Tuchel, has no longer a chance with the club and is fired. www.focus.de/sport/videos/tuchel-berater-geht-auf-bvb-los-empoerung-ueber-rauswurf-am-anschlagsort_id_7213182.htmlToo bad that the German league has become that weak that the BVB will somehow end up on a place that guarantees at least the Europa league.

Ajax - Dortmun en miniature?
In Anbetracht der Lage eine gute Verpflichtung, vor allem einen die besser ist als deren first best Lösung Fravre.
A very good choice in consideration of the circumstances, and also one that is better than their actual first choice Fravre.
