Over 7 minutes long, but 4 of which solely consist of "na na na na na na na, hey Jude."

Nowhere near, for me that would be "She's Leaving Home" or "Here There And Everywhere".

I've seen Let It Be, In My Life, and Something topping a few polls. But they're all serious and low energy.

I don't know, it's before my time when it came out. But I guess it's their best song.

I don't know, it's before my time when it came out.But I guess it's their best song. Yes because if a song was made before you where born, its impossible to listen to it. By that logic i can`t listen to anything or see anything made before 1983.

Not even close. Cut out half of the "na, na na, na na na na's" and maybe. One of McCartney's best later compositions. Not too tough when it goes up against Ob-la-di, Ob-la-Doo Doo, Or Maxwell's Shitty Hammer

I don't know, it's before my time when it came out.But I guess it's their best song. Well, after all everybody knows that you don't ever listen to or appreciate any music from before you were born. Duh.

Most in the U.S. were introduced to “Hey, Jude” on October 6, 1968 when a video of a live performance (actually edited from two different takes) was broadcast on “The Smothers Brothers Show.” Yours truly was right there watching and was knocked out by it.
It is an excellent piece of work. Having said that, I shudder in horror at the idea of having to pick ONE SINGLE SONG as the Beatles Best.

So many of the Fab's songs are Fab......I would hazard that it is quite a redundant question. Who is saying this? It's like saying 'Is Sympathy for the Devil really the best Stone's song?' Is Coconut Toffee the best flavour of popcorn?
Great, Great song though. IF the Beatles , in an alternative universe did a Live Aid gig or something with Billy Preston.....I'd want it as the encore final song at a beautiful midnight surrounded by an appreciative, enthusiastic audience hugging and singing the refrain joyously.
One can but dream.

It's a good song, but for me A Day in the Life is their best.
