They look much to healthy for my liking. They're really not There's a lot of junk in there I found expired boxes for like 75 cents - couldn't resist Break up small pieces and put them in my energy bomb cereal for added flavor .....

Chatham Town. Best chips I have ever had. Mind you, it was wagon wheels and Bovril when I was a lad, anything more than that was regarded as haute cuisine.
Man, those chips were good. Only lasted one season though, they were shit the following year.

It's a damned serious business buying chips these days, as the phrase "cheap as chips" takes on a very untruthful turn. A portion of them from Poppies now costs £3.20 for regular (in fact small, not far off a kid's portion) and £3.70 for large (which should read 'regular') You watch them with their back to you as they take a box and scoop chips into it and by the size of the box you think you're getting quite the deal. But your view is of course deliberately obscured between counter and chip pan by the guy's bulky back and you can only hear the promising sound of the scoop going from pan to box. Your suspicions are aroused once you leave the shop. You haven't even opened the box yet but you are able to hear the chips rattling around inside the box as you walk. You open the lid and are faced with about enough chips to stave off medium hunger for about 15-20 minutes tops. I'm no Scrooge but £3.70 for takeaway chips? What's going on?

I don’t think potatoes have gone up in price much, though cooking oil has.

The chips, Chatham Town were always shit. Never went again after the Chips went downhill. I was a fair chips supporter when it came to away games in Chatham.
