The Barfly bar is our site logo. Since 2015. First on the Gawker Media community blog platform and the last 2-3 years on blogspot. We have two sites now and a Twitter feed. The second site is science, science fiction, horror, etc. and we just hired a talented new nature photographer from New Orleans who is all of fifteen years old. I saw his work and said you'll post your nature photos for free and help me out with midweek content? You're hired. He's very good. His name at Observation Deck blogspot is NatureCat08.

Main site. The Golden Horn bar in reality was Big Ed's in Culver City, seen in a lot of TV and movies, but no longer exists. Barfly had a lot of L.A. dive bars in it.
