Yes I think a win vs. The Defending Super Bowl Champs is more meaningful (especially if they're your hated division rival) than a win vs. The Bills who have won nothing But this season the Rams are a .500 team and don’t look like that they’ll do anything special this year. Outside of the 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals, the Rams are just another game. I don’t think that the Saints will care that the Rams won the Super Bowl last year when they play on Nov. 20. But when the Lions play the Bills on Thanksgiving that’ll be their Super Bowl. I think whoever the Lions play on Thanksgiving is their Super Bowl

Hopefully the Phillies. We love the Phillies in Toronto, especially Mitch Williams...

Think about the storyline of Stafford coming back with a ring .... To his old home where he couldn't get it done for years and years and years.... That's a story I'd love to watch....

It isn't about common sense, it's about whatever you have to tell yourself to feel better. Pre-season NBA wins are amazing and prove how deep your team is, while starting off the season 0-3 is no big deal because the team needs time to gel. Guaranteeing a title 18 seasons in a row across every sport means you were right all along when they finally win it.

What's wrong with enjoying preseason/exhibition wins and not panicking after an 0-3 start (2 of whom are title contenders)

There are still cheaters on that Astros team from '17. I want them to lose really badly. I hate Harper but am pulling for the Phils with all my heart. Just curious How come you don't like Bryce? Very likable guy - says and does all the right things Not arrogant at all Very humble - yet flashy and gifted .... Pretty much MLB's Tom Brady.... I don't think he's likeable at all. Egoistical and arrogant. Tom Brady is a Trumper. He's a douche too.

I gotta tell you, here in Philly we can smell when a player is insincere or a douche like a fart in an elevator, and I get none of that from Harper. He’s never seemed like a diva since he’s been here. As far as I remember he doesn’t spout off about politics. He’s not an asshole like A-Rod. It’s not his fault Sports Illustrated called him the next LeBron when he was 16. He seems like a good guy who plays hard and wants to win. He reminds me of Chase Utley in some ways.

I've always liked Harper, which kills me to say for obvious reasons, but I tip my cap to him. He's an elite player who gets a ton of hate that I've never quite understood. He's awesome, he loves the fans and they love him. He hustles, he doesn't get in trouble with stupid off-the-field nonsense....in reality, there's no reasonable basis to hate him, other than him torturing your team.

Too good too young too hyped.

I hated Harper on the Nationals, but that was more because I hated the Nationals. I didn’t really know anything about him other than he used the eye black like a Norwegian death metal band. He doesn’t suffer from Aaron Rodgers Punchable Face Syndrome. The only strike against him is I’m assuming he’s Mormon, which is like one step away from Scientology in my book, but that being said he doesn’t seem in your face about it.

You also gotta remember, this dude was on the cover of SI as a high school kid. His head got big and yeah, he had a smugness about him that I didn't like. I think most people who got that much hype at such a young age would get pretty cocky. As he's gotten older, I've liked him more. He's always hustling and he plays hard. Hate to admit it as I hate Philly, but I like to watch him play and like him a lot more now than I did when he 1st broke on the scene.

I just have trouble believing the Astros would lose back to back World Series to 2 teams with under 90 regular season wins. Anything is possible, but I think the Astros will come out on top.
